Rosalee González

Councilwoman 1st ward

Rosalee González, a proud Latina born in Brooklyn, NY, to a Puerto Rican family, is a dedicated leader and passionate advocate for the Bloomfield community. Married since 2014, she is the proud mother in a blended family of four children. Her personal experience raising neurodivergent children has given her a profound understanding of the challenges families face in navigating educational systems and securing the necessary support for their children. This lived experience fuels her passion to champion families in similar situations.

  • Over 20 years of experience as a Sleep Technologist

  • 11 years serving Veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs; Trained First Receiver for chemical, biological, and radiological emergencies.


Leadership
  • Co-founded a boys’ mentoring group

  • Volunteer with Bloomfield Bengals Swim Team and Bloomfield Raptors Soccer Team

  • Class parent coordinator supporting local schools.
